The automobile Euro-5 standard Gasoline Blending Unit is actively constructed at Antipinsky Oil Refinery. The construction is expected to be completed by 4 quarter 2016.
The new unit will be installed in place of the Nitrogen Unit which supplied air to the instrumentation shop and nitrogen to the main site. The station was dismantled in March this year.
The construction of the gasoline blending unit is important for the operation of the Top Bracket Gasoline Plant and production of top bracket gasolines Euro-5 at Antipinsky Oil Refinery.
The Top Bracket Gasoline Plant consists of several units producing isomerization product, reforming product and heavy naphta which are supplied to the Gasoline Blending Unit. Apart from the above products, butane fraction from ELOU AT-3 is supplied to the gasoline blending unit to control the saturated vapor pressure in ready fuel in the gasoline product. This parameter is very important for the starting engine operation in the cold season. Top bracket gasolines are stored at the storage plant 2/4 consisting of three 1,000 m3 tanks P-15, P-16 and P-17 for storage and conditioning of gasoline Regular-92, as well as two 1,00O m3 tanks P-18, and P-33 and one 2,000 m3 tank P-34 for storage and conditioning of gasoline Premium Euro-95.
As part of the Gasoline Blending Unit, the pump station of the intermediate storage tanks 2/5 and tanks P-35 and P-36 is planned to be modernized and re-equipped to accept, storage and supply of the components of top bracket gasolines to the Gasoline Blending Unit.
According to the Deputy Director of the Storage Tanks Division of Commercial Oil Shop No. 4, Petelin Andrey Nikolayevich, “the unit is completely automated. The operator involvement is minor. In particular, the duties of the unit operator include inspection of the equipment; taking samples of the components and final product, withdrawal of certain equipment of the gasoline blending unit for repair, etc. The senior operator of the section of oil products preparation and storage enters an assignment into the computer for preparation of a certain grade of fuel, transfer the flow from the gasoline blending unit to the certain tank of the storage tanks 2/4, and then the amount of the components necessary for preparation of the relevant grade of fuel is determined automatically. For example, for gasoline Premium Euro-95, the major portion of the reforming product and the less portion of the isomerization product are required. The deficient portion of the reforming product from the Top Bracket Gasoline Plant is supplied from tank P-35, and the excessive amount of the isomerization product from the plant will be supplied to tank P-36. The inverse process takes place in the production of gasoline Regular-92.”After the Top Bracket Gasoline Plant and Gasoline Blending Unit are put into operation, Antipinsky Oil Refinery will enter the new level of oil refining and will produce and sale top bracket gasoline Euro-5 to more consumers.
