Antipinsky Refinery has been successfully operating in extremely low temperatures

11 February 2019

The complex of measures implemented in September-December 2018 allowed Antipinsky Refinery to operate without stopping production in the coldest days of the winter period. Oil refining at the plant did not stop even in conditions of abnormally low temperatures for the Tyumen region, when the thermometer dropped to -38 °C.

As part of the preparatory activities, which were carried out at the plant since September last year, the specialists of the plant carried out the installation of heating cables and insulation of production equipment, as well as an additional check of electric heating systems. Directly in winter, steam production in the boiler room was increased in order to heat the most vulnerable to cold objects.

In addition, control over the operation of technological installations at Antipinsky Refinery has been significantly strengthened: additional personnel have been involved to carry out round-the-clock duty, and the number of bypasses of production sites has been significantly increased.

The complex of measures allows the plant to work without stopping up to -40 °C.
