The Antipinsky refinery (managed by JSC New Stream) was visited by the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation fr om Tyumen Region, the twelfth world chess champion, international grandmaster Anatoly Karpov.
Currently, Anatoly Karpov is actively involved in the project to create and develop environmental reception centers at Tyumen enterprises. In this regard, the deputy visited Antipinsky Refinery, where he was shown the modern five-step industrial and domestic sewage treatment plant in operation.
Anatoly Karpov highly appreciated the technological effectiveness and the environmental control system at the enterprise and emphasized the information openness of the refinery, including that in matters of interaction with the population of the region and monitoring the state of the environment.
'Every large industrial enterprise must realize its responsibility for preservation of nature. It was nice to hear that such a great work was done at Antipinsky Refinery, so much effort and money was spent, and new technologies were applied. This guarantees the necessary level of environmental safety,' Anatoly Karpov said.
After the tour, the globally renowned chess player held a meeting with the residents of Antipino district, where he answered the citizens' questions. The meeting ended with a multiboard chess game, in which, among others, the employees of the refinery took part. One of the company specialists even managed to draw a tie with the international grandmaster.
