Antipinsky Oil Refinery, a basic asset of New Stream Group
, increased the production of Euro-5 auto diesel fuels by 20% in January 2017 compared to the same period in 2016.
In the first month of the new year, the refinery produced 214 thousand tons of Euro-5 diesel fuel compared to 179 thousand tons in January of the previous year. In addition, the volume of produced technical gas granulated sulfur was increased by almost 3.5 times up to 2.2 thousand tons.
In January of 2017, there was a slight decrease in the production of liquefied petroleum gases down to 1,5 thousand tons and in the production of straight-run gasoline down to 103 thousand tons (105 thousand tons in January of 2016). Meanwhile, in the first month of this year, the output of white oil products was increased by 30%: 65% of the total volume of refining, while this figure was 50% in 2016.
In total, in January of the new year, 610 thousand tons of products were refined (692 thousand tons in January of 2016). According to Dmitry Mazurov, the President of New Stream Group, the decrease in refining volumes is connected with decreased costs, in particular, with abandonment of oil shipment by rail, and with a higher conversion rate due to the commissioning of atmospheric residue deep conversion units in autumn of 2016.
