Antipinsky Refinery, the main production enterprise of New Stream Group
, started the final stage of commissioning at the combined high-octane gasoline production unit (CHOGPU) - loading catalyst into the continuous regeneration unit (CRU).
The CRU functions as part of one of the three sections of the CHOGPU, platforming. Due to the necessary conditions provided (low pressure and temperature over 480 C⁰), during the catalytic reforming process, the octane number of straight-run gasoline coming from primary oil refining plants increases.
In course of the platforming section functioning, the octane number of gasoline reaches 100, and the product obtained serves as the main component in motor gasoline production. The rated refining capacity of the section is about 100 tons of gasoline per hour.
The technological specific feature of the CRU installed at Antipinsky Refinery is the possibility of continuous catalyst regeneration, which eliminates reduction in its activity and, as a consequence, a decrease in the output of the final product.
Commissioning work at CHOGPU will be completed in the near future, and in May or June Antipinsky Refinery will start commercial production of high-octane gasolines.
