Antipinsky Oil Refinery became General Partner of the Boxing Championship of Russia among the juniors (17 to 18 years old)

The Russian Boxing Championship among the juniors (17-18 years old) “Tyumen-Judo” was held in the Olympics training center on July 31 to August 5. The Championship was devoted to the memory of Police Colonel Sergey Gritsenko. Antipinsky Oil Refinery was general partner of the Championship. It should be noted that annual competitions sponsored by New Stream, a Regional Social Action Organisation, acquired a status of a Russian Championship this year.

It should be also noted that the event of such a level was held in Tyumen first time in 10 years. Over two hundred young boxers from 63 regions of Russia arrived to compete for the title of the best boxer. Forty athletes became winners and all of them were included in the national team of Russian for participation in the European championships, world championships and other international boxing events.

The boxing festive event took place thanks to its sponsors: Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, Boxing Federation of Russia, Regional Social Action Organization “New Stream”, Department of Sport and Youth Policy of Tyumen region and personally Evgeny Makarenko, President of the Boxing Federation of Tyumen region, champion of the world and Europe, deputy of Tyumen regional Duma. The event was attended by the famous Soviet and Russian boxers, in particular, by unbeaten Aleksey Kunchenko, a semi-middleweight world champion of the world (according to M-1) who represents the Mixed Martial Arts team of New Stream and Boyets club sponsored by Antipinsky Oil Refinery. The young boxers were also supported by other honoured guests - representatives of the sponsors and partners of the competitions: President of New Stream, a Regional Social Action Organisation, Yuri Navrazhny, representatives of the General Partner of the Championship, Antipinsky Oil Refinery, Sergey Kashin, Sergey Murzin and Konstantin Buchelnikov. President of Oreneburzhye Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Viktor Frolov, arrived to support the boxers from Orenburg and Tyumen athletes.

The finalists of the Championship were given the title of Master of Sports of Russia and were awarded special prizes from the Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Alexander Tarabykin.

Special awards from New Stream, a Regional Social Action Organisation, and Boxing Federation of Tyumen region were presented to the winner in the category of up to 60 kg Beslan Khamzaev (Chechen republic) in the nomination “The Best Boxer of the Tournament” and winner in the category of above 91 kg – Ivan Smirnov from Tyumen in the nomination “For the Will to Victory”. On the final day of the event, the President of New Stream, a Regional Social Action Organisation, Yuri Navrazhny also awarded the participants of the European Boxing Championship held in Croatia – boxers from New Stream team Dmitry Zakharov, a winner of the Championship, and Kirill Kladovnikov, a silver awardee of the tournament.

All in all, the New Stream’s team representing the Ural Federal District won 5 medals:

- Ivan Smirnov (Tyumen region) – the 1st position in the category of above 91 kg;
- Aleksey Kisilev (Chelyabinsk region) – the 2nd position in the category of up to 56 kg;
- Kirill Lipikhin (Tyumen region) – the 3rd position in the category of up to 64 kg;
- Musa Musaev (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra) – the 3rd position in the category of up to 69 kg;
- Dmitri Fominykh (Sverdlovskaya region) – the 3rd position in the category of up to 91 kg.

The eminent guests, boxers and trainers – all of them noted the high standard of organisation of the championship.
