Antipinsky Oil Refinery Wins Golden Support Tower Contest

22 April 2016

On April 22, the results of the Golden Support Tower regional contest annually held by the Tyumen Power Supply Company were finalized. The main prize – the Golden Support Tower statue – in the “Best Electric Power Consumer among Industrial Enterprises of the Southern Part of the Tyumen Region” category was awarded to the Antipinsky Oil Refinery.

The winners were selected based on the companies’ performance results in 2015 according to the following criteria: strict compliance with contractual obligations to pay for the electric power supplied, meeting the terms and conditions of grid connection, improvement of electric power metering systems.

It is noteworthy that the Antipinsky Oil Refinery received the well-deserved award for the third time – the Golden Support Tower statue was awarded to it in 2012 and 2013.

According to Andrei Vladimirovich Mikhailov, the company’s Chief Power Engineer, the refinery’s success in the contest this year is attributable not only to proper performance of its obligations to the Tyumen Power Supply Company, but also its increased electric power consumption due to the commissioning of new production units.

Positive dynamics in the electric power consumption will continue throughout 2016 – from March onwards the refinery’s facilities will be supplied with electric power from a new Federal Grid Company’s substation  – 220 kV “Gubernskaya” resulting in the electric power consumption increase from 77 004 543.00 kW/hr in 2015 to over 200 000 000.00 kW/hr in 2016.

General Information:

Tyumen Power Supply Company OJSC has conducted the Golden Support Tower contest and named its most reliable business partners since 2005. They include organizations and enterprises of the Tyumen Region who most diligently perform their contractual obligations and pay for the electric power consumed on time.

The Golden Support Tower statue has become a symbol of bona fide partnership between power suppliers and consumers.
